Dec 1998 The first multi-service centre opened at Papatoetoe Town Hall in South Auckland
6 Feb 1999 The second multi-service centre opened at Howick Recreation Centre in East Auckland
Nov 1999 Employed CNSST first NZ trained professional social worker-Jenny Wang, due to lack of funding, she has to work multi-roles, including Manager, fundraiser, programme coordinator and so on.
Jan 2000 Opened our first office at the Friendship House and only one part time social worker worked with over 500 clients
Aug 2000 Established the third multi-service centre at Northcote in North Shore and later moved to Glenfield due to increase clients
Oct 2000 Renamed our organisations registration name from Manukau Chinese New Settlers Services Trust to Chinese New Settlers Services Trust due to the expansion of services from Manukau city to the greater Auckland region
Aug 2001 The fourth multi-service centre was opened at Mt Roskill Community House in 3 Kings Central Auckland and then move to Onehunga community centre.
Oct 2001 Opened our North Shore office at Glenfield Community Centre.
Nov 2001 Made the first government contract with Work and Income New Zealand and ran a successful project called Chinese Employment English Course. A total of 15 clients participated into the course and 80% of them have been placed into workforce or went to further study.
Mar 2002 Our Board restructured our organizations services and identified our groups two key functions: * As a professional community agency: we provide social services, including case management, settlement and employment services; * As an ethnic/cultural group: we provide cultural and educational services, including weekend programmes and cultural events
May 2002 Conditionally approved by CYF as a community services provider to serve the local Chinese community in the greater Auckland region.
Jul-Dec 2002 CNSST signed contract with CYF, DOL and NZ Immigration to provide social services, employment services and settlement support to the Chinese community
Oct 2002 The Chinese name of CNSST has been changed due to increase the services and change of the original targets.
1 Mar 2003 Established our fifth multi-service centre at Henderson Big Top Recreation Centre in West Auckland. The first centre manager is Cloe Lau.
May 2003 Mt Roskill centre expensed from one to two at Mt Roskill community house and ARMS centre at 3 Kings
3 Jul 2003 Won the Community Awards for Excellence Mayoral Award 2003, for our contribution to migrant community at North Shore.
28 Feb 2004 A successful forum has been run for new settlers regarding property issues with Manukau city council. The Manukau Mayor Sir Barry Curtis is quest speaker, the interpreter is Xiaojing Zhang. Facilitator is Kit Wong. A total about 200 people attended the forum.
9 Oct 2004 Opened our 6th multi-service centre in central Auckland at Sandringham
29 Jan 2005 3 Kings centre moved to Onehunga community centre
23 May 2005 CNSST head office moved from Manukau Friendship House to PGF building at Newmarket
Aug 2005 Won the Community Safety Mayoral Award 2005, for CNSSTs contribution to road safety through the Yi Lu Ping Ai road safety project, which was recognised by Auckland city road users
10 Sep 2005 Successfully organised 2005 Chinese Employment Expo in Manukau. The expo attracted over 3000+ jobseekers and over 50 employers. Government agencies including DOL, MSD, Manukau City Council also attended the expo.
4 Feb 2006 Henderson centre moved to Massey Leisure Centre in West Auckland due to Henderson venue was restructured by the Waitakere city council, the centre manager is: Mr Raymond Ching and assistant is Mr Sunny Huang.
Apr 2006 Supported Brighter Future Education Trust to organize donation to the students in poor area in Guizhou Province China, a total of 254 children have been supported by local Chinese Kiwis.
10 Jun 2006 Opened the 7th multi-service centre at Newmarket. Ms Dora Du and Jane Lai were appointed as centre manager and assistant respectively

Apr 2007 Re-constructed and re-named CNSST Multi-service Centres to CNSST Cultural Learning Institute
June 2007 CNSST North Shore office was closed down to reduce cost and maintain an efficient administration system
June 2007 CNSST won the Community Safety Mayoral Award 2007 for the TV and newspaper Yi Lu Ping Ai road safety campaign
30 Jun 2007 Jenny Wang, changed her role from Executive Director to Board of Trustee Project Manager after 10 years at CNSST. The board thanks Jennys 10 years contribution to CNSST, local Chinese community and the wider society, and award Jenny a title of honourable life chairperson at Junes meeting.
1 Jul 2007 Lela Leong was appointed to be Acting Executive Director from 1st July 2007
1 Jan 2008 CNSST founder and first board chairperson Jenny Wang gained the Queens Services Medal from NZ government for her great contribution to local Chinese migrants. CNSST board member Jessica Phuang also gained a QSM.
11 Apr 2008 Ms Lela Leong resigned from the Acting Executive Director role.
1 Apr 2008 Ms Jan Wu was appointed to be the new Executive Director of CNSST and will start to work from 7 April 2008.
