Chinese New Settlers Services Trust (CNSST) is registered as a charitable trust which offers culturally and linguistically appropriate services to both Chinese new settlers and the community.
Our Strategic Vision: To develop our Charitable Trust that offers comprehensive services to the wider community in New Zealand, particular to the Chinese Community.
Our mission: To improve the quality of life of the Chinese New Zealanders.
Our vision: To work towards meeting the needs of the Chinese seniors, Children, youth and all other new settlers, and to facilitate the successful integration of Chinese new settlers into wider New Zealand society.
Our purpose: To enable Chinese new settlers to participate into and contribute to NZ multicultural society through learning NZ culture and promoting Chinese culture.
Main Services We Provided
Social Services (Mon to Fri): Case Management: primary service delivery, social work and advocacy, family and community support, free Chinese legal advice Community Programs: include Seniors Mutual Support Network Project, Bullying and Cultural Identity, Parenting through Separation, Children Witness Family Violence Program and SKIP parenting program, etc. Settlement Support: information, referral, resources, interpretation, road safety and educational workshops on NZ legislation Employment Services: employment information & advice, job placements & workshops, Employment Relations Services (ERS) and Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) education for employers. Road Safety: include Driver?¡¥s License courses and road safety education workshops
Cultural and Educational Services (Saturdays): We run weekend cultural programmes at our branches in the greater Auckland region. Senior Club: English and New Zealand cultural classes, cultural entertainment activities, eg. Tai Chi, dancing, Chinese chess Youth Club: Chinese language, art, music and martial art courses, children?¡¥s programmes and outdoor activities Cultural Projects: Chinese arts and food exhibition, cultural performance, festival & events.
